I hope this question finds you well and in high iman. My question is, if I plan to travel overseas in Ramadan and the flight is scheduled to leave 2.5 hours before Maghrib, do I start my day with the intention to fast?
May Allah reward you with goodness for your time.
The Scholars say that the person who will travel can eat before going out of his house before heading to the airport or the road. This is according to a hadith stating that Anas Ibn Malik ordered food in Ramadan in his house just before going out to travel and stated that it is from the Sunnah, so you can eat in your home before heading to the airport.
