Making dua in sujud

Home / Fiqh / Making dua in sujud
Question:

Is there any difference in opinion regarding the permissibility of making dua in Sujud. If so, then is it enough to say subhana rabbiyal a’ala one time or should I say 3 or 10 times before making dua? May Allah bless you.

Zaynab El-Kateb:

It is from Sunnah to supplicate in sujud.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The closest that a person can be to his Lord, the Mighty and Sublime, is when he is prostrating, so increase in supplication then.”

And you have to say at least once “subhan rabbeya al a’ala” and better to say it 3 times and the more you say it the better.
