The ruling on making up missed fasts due to pregnancy or breastfeeding

Question:

I have been having a lot of difficulty making up my fasts from pregnancy while I am exclusively breastfeeding, and was wondering how long I have to make up the fast. Can it be made up after this upcoming ramadan even though I am making up fast for last ramadan? If so, do I have to feed the poor for each day that I missed?
Baarakallahu feeki for taking the time to answer my question.

Zaynab El-Kateb:

Shaikh Al-Albani said that the pregnant and breastfeeding women are not requested to compensate for their days they did not fast, they only feed one poor person for each day they did not fast. The feeding is one meal per day. This is according to hadeeth of Ibn ‘Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, stating  that the pregnant and breastfeeding women does not have to compensate, they only compensate it by feeding a poor.
