I have no doubt that it is impermissible to differ in Aqeedah. However, is it correct to say that the sahaba differed in some of the furoo'(branches) of aqeedah such as if the Prophet, peace be upon him, saw Allah? May Allah bless you.
Shaikh Adel As-Sayyed:
The Companions didn’t have ikftilaff in Aqeedah never.
Regarding the matter of the Prophet, peace be upon him, seeing Allah’s face it’s not an aqeedah matter and it does not have anything to do with aqeedah. This is خبر (ie. information) and it’s not related with what we should believe.
What we should believe is what we find in aqeedah books, for instance Allah’s names and attributes, the believe on the Angels, the qadr, the revealed Books and so on.
