What about the claim of supplicating (making duaa) at the time of breaking the fast (iftar)? Is it correct?
Shaikh Ibn Al-Uthaymin said that for the fasting person it is better to supplicate at maghrib time, before eating his Iftar, because their soul will be humble due to hunger at that time.
The Committee of fatawa stated that you can supplicate before breaking your fast or after it according to the hadith:
“للصائم دعوة لا ترد عند فطره”
