Imam At Tirmidhi said in his sunan, in the book of Zakah, the chapter regarding the virtue of charity:

In more than one place in the Quran, Allah mentioned His Hand, Hearing and Sight. The Jahmiya distorted these ayaat and explained them differently to how the people of knowledge explained them by saying, ‘Allah didn’t create Adam with His Hands’ and ‘The meaning of hand here is power.’

Ishaq bin Ibrahim said, “Tashbeeh [likening Allah to His creation] is when someone says ‘(Allah’s) hand (is)like a (created) hand’ or ‘similar to a (created) hand.’ Or he says ‘(His) hearing is like (the creation’s) hearing or similar to it.’ So if he affirms for Allah, hearing which is similar to the creation then he has made tashbeeh.

As for if he mentions, just as Allah does, the hand, hearing and sight without describing how it is or saying it is like this hearing or similar to this hearing, then this is not tashbeeh. Rather this is just as Allah says in His book, “There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.”
