What is the meaning of ‘Ramadan ‘in Arabic, and why is this blessed month called “Ramadan”?

Zaynab El-Kateb:

The Scholars say that it is originated from the Arabic word رمض Ramad, which means burning heat or intense heat. So the Scholars say that Allah legislated the month of Ramadan for a specific reason: To burn all the sins of the believers who worship Allah in this month.
