A sister has returned to Allahu taala and her non-Muslim family wants to give her clothes to the masjid. Is it better to sell them very cheaply (flea market sale) or just give them to needy sisters? May Allah reward you with goodness.
First this depends on the clothes. If it’s for men or children which is ok to be used by Muslims, i.e. halal, then if you can find a needy Muslim you can give it to them, or if you can sell the clothes at the flea market and give the money to the needy Muslims—this is also allowed. But if the clothes are for women, then do not give away trousers or unsuitable clothes for women, please make sure these clothes are not haram for women to use.
