A woman leaving her children to a reliable person in order to go to give dawah
Question:
Is it permissible for women who are fit to give dawah or who are working in an environment according to shariah with permission from their husbands to find a trusted babysitter or family member to look after their children while they benefit the community with their services? May Allah bless you.
Shaikh Adel As-Sayyed:
The most important obligation upon her is to take care of her children and this is the best worship she can do.
Even if she leaves her children with a trustworthy person, no one will care for her children like their own mother. So it’s better for her to give priority to her children, instead of leaving them with another person aiming to give dawah as this is not the best thing to do.
Maybe she can wait till they grow up enough or she may get a chance while they are in the school. That way she can also benefit her community by giving them dawah while not affecting her children as they have to be her priority.
